The boulder, which was estimated to weigh between 6,000 and 10,000 pounds, had pinned the unidentified man, leaving him in a perilous situation.

A team of rescuers was dispatched to the scene, with two individuals being dropped off by a California Highway Patrol helicopter, while seven others navigated the challenging terrain using a network of four-wheel drive roads.
